Come and browse Brewery Square’s furniture shop

Dorchester’s newest furniture shop opened in Brewery Square just before Christmas and if you haven’t popped in to see the range yet, don’t leave it too long – the shop changes every day.

The shop is owned and managed by Gary Lancaster and his vision is to bring good quality furniture at affordable prices, to the high street.  How often have you wanted to re-decorate and re-design elements of your every day living space, only to be thwarted with a 2 or 3 month wait for furniture. Most of us want to get started on our new vision as soon as possible after the idea is born. I myself have embarked on a child’s bedroom wanting it ready by Christmas, only to find that in order for somewhere to sleep, I am forced to order some flimsy make do items to fit my budget and timescale and feel furious that two weeks later, everything is half price in the January sale.

Gary does not have a flash sale or end of season black Friday, his prices offer value all year long. He does not do discounts, nor will you find the product cheaper in his shop a few weeks after you have spent your hard earned savings.  Moreover, if he has it in stock, you can make your purchase there and then and if you are local, he will deliver.  If it is not in stock, the waiting time is usually no more than a few weeks.  If you need it assembled, it can be assembled.

Gary has spent many years working as a carpenter and shop fitter so knows his stuff when it comes to craftsmanship, decoration and home improvements. He has also spent much of his time as the landlord of several local pubs, taking them from ruin to success, refurbishing them in the process. I tell you this because he will shortly be offering a range of commercial furniture suitable for pubs, restaurants, and your own back garden.
